Unleashed in Evanston (UIE) is our original location, opened in 2007 by Dr. Becky Trisko to provide a place for her to conduct her doctoral research and to provide local dogs with a high-quality daycare, an emerging field at the time.
We are proud to offer 3500 ft² of indoor play space and 3500 ft² of outdoor, turfed and fenced yard. We limit our capacity to 40 dogs per day, split into three play groups of around 7-15 dogs each, determined by the dogs' size, temperament, and play preferences.
UIE is an "out-all-day" daycare, meaning that, dogs will regulate themselves; resting when they need to, playing when they want, and always getting loving attention from our staff!

Play
With a total of 7000 ft² of play space, and curated play groups based on our knowledge of each dog, UIE dogs have a perfect place to be a dog and just play!
We keep play groups limited to no more than 15 dogs to keep everyone safe and happy!

Socialize
Dogs at UIE grow friendships with each other!
This includes dogs who enjoy wrestling with each other, and dogs who just enjoy the other's presence nearby.
Keeping a regular daycare schedule ensures that your dog gets to see their friends often!
Learn
Included in every UIE reservation is a group enrichment activity. A one-on-one Personal Enrichment activity with a trainer can be added for $5!

Rest
By keeping play groups small, UIE dogs are able to rest when they need to without being disturbed by overly rowdy players.
We also have a daily "nap time" from 12:00-2:00 to encourage dogs to take a break.
Policies and Requirements
Hours of Operation
UIE is open for full-day and half-day daycare Monday - Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm. We are closed to customers from 12:00-2:00 for the dogs' naptime.
Dogs' Vaccine and Age Requirements
All UIE dogs must be at least 6 month of age and spayed/neutered. We also require proof of vaccination against rabies, Bordetella, and distemper, and proof of a negative fecal test within the past year.
Trial Day
Dogs must pass a trial day temperament test to ensure that your dog and Unleashed will be a good fit for each other. Trial days are scheduled from 7:00-11:45am. To inquire about daycare services and schedule a trial day, fill out the Daycare Applicant Questionnaire. If the trial is successful, you will be charged for a half day of daycare.
